Meet The Team

Alyssa Zaback (she/her)
Alyssa is from Corvallis, Oregon, and is currently a Junior majoring in environmental studies and minoring in sustainable business. She joined the Environmental Leadership Program to develop skills in field work, plant identification, and research methods. Her goal is to apply her knowledge of fieldwork and research in a future career. Outside of school, Alyssa enjoys climbing, tide pooling and playing sand volleyball.

Cooper Eccles (he/him)
Cooper is from Broomfield, Colorado, and is pursuing a degree in marine biology and environmental sciences. He joined the Environmental Leadership Program because he is passionate about entomology, environmental conservation, and fieldwork. He is excited to apply the skills he has learned from ELP to a career in wildlife conservation and research work. His favorite hobbies are hiking, swimming, mountain biking, and wildlife photography.

Grace Valentine (she/her)
Originally from Denver, Colorado, Grace attends the University of Oregon for environmental studies and sustainable business. She joined the Environmental Leadership Program to develop her fieldwork skills and utilize the environmental conservation and adaptation techniques she learned through her studies. Grace plans to apply the skills gained through the Environmental Leadership Project to her career working in business sustainability.

Eli Hanser-Young (he/him)
Originally from Austin, Texas, Eli is a senior at the University of Oregon majoring in environmental science. He joined ELP for the opportunity to gain field work experience. His goal is to be boots on the ground for ecological initiatives in his future career. Outside of school, Eli enjoys playing and watching team sports.

Vincent Williams (he/him)
Vincent is from Lacey, Washington, and a senior at the University of Oregon, majoring in environmental studies with a double minor in sustainable business and science communication. He joined ELP for the opportunity to work on a real world problem and build meaningful skills in a collaborative team environment. In his free time, Vincent enjoys paddle boarding, baking, reading, and creative writing.

Allie Dorris (she/her)
Allie is originally from Houston, Texas, and now calls Eugene, Oregon, home. She is a senior majoring in environmental science and joined the Environmental Leadership Program to gain field experience and deepen her knowledge of botany and plant identification. She was especially excited to have the opportunity to work with the City of Eugene. Her goal is to work in ecological restoration, creating and maintaining natural spaces that foster both biodiversity and meaningful connections between people and the environment. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, going on family bike rides, and is happily addicted to knitting.

Isabella Fehringer (she/her)
Isabella is from Sacramento, California, and is majoring in Environmental Science with a Life Sciences focus. She joined the Environmental Leadership Program to gain skills in environmental surveying and monitoring. Oregon Ash was the perfect project to explore her interest in botany and wetland ecology. In her free time, she likes reading, bird watching, and hiking. In the future, she hopes to do further work in biological research and ecological restoration.

Malia Carp (she/her)
Malia is from Eugene, Oregon, and is an Environmental Science major in her junior year. She joined the Environmental Leadership Program to learn various research methods and fieldwork and expand her knowledge of plants and conservation practices. She aspires to have a career in sustainability or conservation management. In her free time, Malia loves to read, go outside, and do junk journaling.

Ella Stahl (she/her)
Ella is from Portland, Oregon, and is studying Environmental Science with a minor in Sustainable Business. She joined the program in her junior year because she was interested in plant ecology and also learning about different research methods, and to participate in field work. Ella loves to spend time outside and enjoys swimming outdoors and on the UO club team, hiking, and going to the gym. She hopes to have a job in sustainability after graduation.

Jeffrey Squires (he/him)
Jeff is from Northern California, and has now made a home here in Eugene. He is in his fourth year of an environmental science undergraduate degree at the University of Oregon. Jeff joined the ELP team to improve and build upon his skills as a field monitor and data collector, hoping to continue in that line of work post grad. In his free time Jeff enjoys snowboarding, backpacking, rock climbing, playing soccer, and taking in his surroundings.

Ceò Seanchai (they/them)
Ceò has lived all around Oregon, and is attending the UO to learn Environmental Studies and Planning, Public Policy, and Management (PPPM). They joined the Environmental Leadership Program to gain leadership and field work experience in the city of Eugene and were excited to lend their skills to the Department of Parks and Open Spaces. Ceò aims to work in natural spaces to promote both ecological health and a sense of place and connection for the surrounding communities. In their free time, they play tabletop role-playing games, go on hikes with their dog, and collaborate on music projects.

Momo Kelley (they/them)
Momo grew up in the Washington D.C. area.. They originally left home for an undergraduate degree in International Studies (with a minor in Environmental Studies) at the University of North Carolina at Asheville and have been moving westward ever since! Momo has lived in places such as Panajachel, Guatemala, Austin, Texas, and Zion National Park and worked as a full-time farmer, classroom teacher, and canyoneering guide. Now, they are pursuing a Master’s degree.
