Eugene Parks Dept

The Eugene Parks and Open Space Department was our community partner for this project. A subsystem of the City of Eugene management, this department works daily to serve the community and environment through hands-on work and collaborative partnerships. The department operates on four guiding principles: 1. Care for and make the most of what we have, 2. Serve the entire community, 3. Create more connections, and 4. Build better partnerships.  We worked with our Eugene Parks Department point person, Diane Steeck, to monitor Oregon Ash Trees for Emerald Ash Borer. Diane Steeck demonstrated a wealth of environmental knowledge and skills as she led our project to success along the Eugene Parks Department's guiding principles.
